How long does a made to order bag take?

Between 3 and 14 days, depending on the piece and how many orders are ahead of yours. Roughly 4,000 beads go into a bag and every strand is knotted by hand, so the bigger patterns take the longer end of that.

If you need it for a fixed date, say so on WhatsApp before you pay and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.

What is the difference between made to order and available now?

A piece marked Available now is finished and sitting on the shelf, so it ships as soon as your payment clears. A made to order piece is strung from scratch in the colours you pick, which is why it takes 3 to 14 days.

Can I order a bag in colours that are not on the website?

Yes. Send Elisheva a photograph of the fabric, the gele or the shoes you are matching and she will pick the beads against it. Colour matching from a photo is most of what she does.

Can you match my aso-ebi?

That is the most common request we get. Send a clear photo of the fabric in daylight, not under a bulb, because bulbs pull the colour. We will confirm the bead shades with you before we start stringing.

Can I have a name or initials beaded into the bag?

Yes, and it is a lovely thing to give. Note that pieces with a name or initials woven in are final sale, because we cannot sell them to anyone else.

Do you make bags for bridesmaids or a whole family?

Yes. Group orders in matching colours are worth a conversation on WhatsApp rather than the website, so we can plan the timing properly. Give us as much notice as you can.

How big are the bags?

Each piece lists its own measurements in centimetres on its page, given as width by height by depth. Straps and wristbands are listed as a single length.

They are evening and occasion sizes rather than everyday totes. A phone, a card holder, a lipstick and a key is the honest capacity of most of them.

What are the beads made of?

Crystal, glass and pearl beads, strung on doubled thread. Nothing is glued. The weight in your hand is the first thing people notice, and it is the beads doing that, not a lining.

Are the bags heavy?

They have real weight, which is what tells you it is beadwork rather than a print. They are comfortable to carry for an evening. They are not meant to be loaded like a work bag.

Will my bag look exactly like the photograph?

It will be the same pattern in the same colours, strung by the same hands, but every piece is counted out individually so small differences in the pattern are normal. Screens also show colour differently from daylight. That variation is the nature of handmade work and it is not a fault.

What do you sell besides bags?

Phone charms, which are beaded straps and wrist loops for your phone, and stackable wristbands sized to sit close on the wrist. Same beads, same handwork, smaller.

Do you deliver outside Lagos?

Yes, to all 36 states and the FCT.

How much is delivery?

Delivery inside Lagos is a flat ₦3,500. Anywhere else in Nigeria is quoted by location before you pay, because courier rates differ by state. Checkout asks for your state so it can price it.

How long does delivery take?

Once a piece is finished and wrapped it goes out to any state within three days. Add that to the making time if your piece is made to order.

Do you ship outside Nigeria?

Not through the website yet. Message us on WhatsApp if you are abroad and we will tell you what is possible and what it would cost.

How do I pay?

Card, bank transfer or USSD, all handled by Paystack. Your card details go to Paystack and never reach us or this website.

Can I pay on delivery?

No. Every piece is either strung specially for you or held out of stock for you, so orders are paid for up front.

Is it safe to pay on this site?

Yes. Payment happens on Paystack's own secure page, and the price you are charged is calculated on our server rather than in your browser, so it cannot be tampered with.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Ready made pieces, yes: tell us within 24 hours of delivery, send it back unused within 3 days at your cost, and you get a credit note for the full price of the piece, valid 6 months.

Made to order pieces cannot be returned for a change of mind, because they were strung in your colours and cannot be resold.

What if it arrives damaged or it is the wrong piece?

Send photographs on WhatsApp within 48 hours of delivery with your order number. If we agree there is a problem we cover the return delivery and you choose: we repair it, we remake it, or you get your money back in full including delivery.

Filming yourself opening the parcel settles these cases quickly, so do it where you can.

Can a broken bag be repaired?

Yes, and that is one of the real advantages of buying handmade. Within 30 days, if a thread or clasp fails in normal use, we repair it free and pay delivery both ways. After 30 days we still repair it, for a fee quoted before we start, with delivery both ways on you.

How do I look after a beaded bag?

Keep it away from water, perfume and body oils, store it flat in its pouch rather than hanging by the strap, and wipe it with a dry soft cloth. There is a fuller guide on the care page.
